Appalachia Needs our Help!

Death toll climbs to 37 & the rain keeps coming It may take weeks to find all the victims as the roads are impassable & bridges are knocked out. They need our help & BoomTownLOVE has made a contribution to the Team Eastern Kentucky Recovery Fund

Boomer Philip Bailey Infrastructure Software Engineering Team is from from Letcher County, in Southeastern KY, bordering Virginia. He let us know yesterday that his hometown is in dire straits and needs all the help it can get.

He further added, “A lot of people who lost everything didn't have much to begin with. Relocating to somewhere else, cultural gravity aside, is also not financially viable. I'm on crutches right now or I would probably be there….FEMA is there for sure. Red Cross has a chapter in that region. A lot of infra(structure) is damaged or gone. Kinda like if Charleston lost a bridge or two. It's similar in that the terrain there was already hard to traverse and build through, lots of “the only road into and out of” where that road is gone, or the bridge, or a mudslide.”
