Holidays for All 2022

Creating Amazing Experiences in our Communities for the Holidays

At holiday time Boomers like to make our community giving initiatives as creative, collaborative & impactful as we can. It’s important that we #Create Amazing Experiences with exponential benefits for all. And as BoomTown has grown, our Boomer communities have too & now reach far beyond Charleston South Carolina - from coast to coast, across the seas & even into different hemispheres!

Finding a way to preserve our company-wide-teams-inspired holiday giving initiatives requires Boom-ivation on a whole new level & we had some phenomenal team efforts in our inaugural year for this initiative. Check them out below!

The Digital Marketing Team chose to collect donations for Pet Helpers Holiday Wishlist.

Donations were collected yesterday morning at our team holiday brunch and I delivered them yesterday evening. They were very grateful and asked for our company social tags so they could thank us socially so keep an eye out on their social accounts Insta or Facebook - Jordan Dyon, Social Marketing Manager

The Engineering Team got a small group of elves together named Tech the Halls + decided to celebrate BoomTownLOVE’s Holidays for All 2022 by adopting children’s letters through USPS’s Operation Santa.

Every year, thousands of letters are sent to Santa at the North Pole. USPS Operation Santa makes it possible for people to adopt and respond to them, fulfilling the holiday wishes of children and families across the country. Everyone from the team pitched in and raised a whopping $1055! The donations enlivened the elves to spread the holiday spirit and provide children with gifts on Christmas morning. After receiving the donations, Tech the Halls fervently read through numerous letters to Santa. Due to the sizable contributions from the team, we were able to shop for Zhyiah, My'Kael, Dream, Aiden, Keyler, Remi, Braxton, and Ellie. Since we are spread across multiple states, the selected children are also from different areas of the country. The elves had a lot of fun shopping for toys, treats, and trinkets and excitedly wrapped the gifts in themed wrapping paper. Some of the elves convened at Elf HQ to wrap presents. The festive atmosphere was noticeable, with holiday music playing and a feeling of goodwill all around. One of the elves even performed an original (w)rap tune! After celebrating their success, the elves realized that there was still more holiday cheer to be spread. With the leftover funds, the elves donated to One Simple Wish to provide Lisa with a tablet! - Olivia Probst, Associate Data Analyst (Winners of The Amazing Experience: Most Exponential Impact & The Boom-ivator: Most Creative + Innovative Awards)

I wanted to highlight The Referral Network Team for our volunteer work in 4 different states! We were able to get some team members together after a long time working remotely and/or never meeting in person!!! I am very proud of our team's efforts in giving back during the holidays and throughout the year. We were able to volunteer The Salvation Army  Rebuilding Together CLT HALOS & St.Jude’s!  I am looking forward to doing more in 2023 as a team!!!  - Brittany Slagle, Senior Operations Manager

The SDR + BDR teams wrote letters to isolated seniors through GlamourGals.org. For every letter written and received, Massage Envy is donating $1 to GG. For this group, we wrote 128 cards and Massage Envy will be donating $128.  We also wrote letters for projectsmileaz.org and covered all of their suggested groups. These included veterans, people experiencing homelessness, cancer patients, birthday cards, and “smiles for everyone.”  Each of the seven categories had at least 5 cards and were packaged separately to send. While having our card making party, we had another team creating cookie boxes for the firefighters across the parking lot. We were able to deliver enough boxes that they said they’d drop some to other stations as well! Thankfully, we were also able to include our remote employees by sending them packages of blank greeting cards and sending them the doc that described our chosen organizations. They picked GG and got writing! We have a larger team so we thought it was a great opp to be able to spread the BTLove across a few different outlets! - Sara Kaczmarski, SDR Team Lead (Winners of The Go-For-It: Most Team Member Engagement Award)

The Talent G&A Team helped at the Low Country Food Bank!  We packed 400 boxes of food to be delivered to seniors.  It was fun, we all agreed we will do this more often!  Happy Holidays everyone!!! - Joe Clark, Controller
